Meeting Rooms at City of Vernon Facilities
The City of Vernon offers a variety of meeting room spaces to support community groups, organizations, and small events. Available for advance booking, these rooms provide comfortable and practical settings for meetings, workshops, classes, and gatherings. Rental rates, availability, and permitted uses vary by location.
Vernon Recreation Centre
Willow Room is a welcoming and flexible space suitable for meetings, workshops, and small group gatherings, with a boardroom style layout. The room is square at 375 sq.ft.
Sunrise Room is a bright triangle shaped room with longest wall 47' 7" (East Wall with Windows). The room is 900 sq.ft.
Sunset room is a triangle shaped room with the longest wall 31' 10" (West wall with windows). The room is 585 sq.ft.
Kal Tire Place
Crossover Room is an interior room that is located just off the concourse and is situated between the two arenas. The crossover room is 27' x 46' - total 1242 sq.ft.
Civic Room is an interior room that is located next to the breezeway between to two arenas. There are windows facing into the North area. The civic room is 51.5' x 42.5' - total 2189 sq.ft.
Crossover and Civic Rooms can be combined to make a large room by opening of the airwall. The crossover and civic room is 3431 sq.ft.

Breakaway room is a bright room located on the east side of 2nd level of Kal Tire Place North. The room is 18' x 35' - total 630 sq.ft.
Other Meeting Rooms
Lakers Clubhouse offers a casual and versatile space at Marshall Field that works well for small community gatherings, meetings, and celebrations. The space is oval shaped at 60' x 30' - total 1800 sq.ft.
All meeting rooms must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. Fees may apply, and users are encouraged to review booking guidelines, capacity limits, and available amenities before submitting a request.
Booking Request Form
- All events require insurance.
- Insurance can be purchased through an insurance company of your choice OR the Facility Booking Clerk can provide a link to an insurance provider.
- Please do not purchase insurance until a contract has been issued by a Facility Booking Clerk (Insurance policies are non-refundable).
- A copy of the certificate of insurance must be emailed to bookings@vernon.ca, a minimum 14 days prior to the event.
Indoor and Outdoor Events within the City of Vernon: The event organizer must provide $2 million dollars in comprehensive general liability insurance listing the City of Vernon (address listed below) as additional insured. The City of Vernon reserves the right to require $5 million dollars in general liability insurance, depending on the scale of the event. It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure that all vendors carry appropriate insurance.
Outdoor Events at parks and facilities that are at other surrounding locations but the bookings are managed by the City of Vernon - the event organizer must provide $2 million dollars in comprehensive general liability insurance listing the City of Vernon, District of Coldstream and Regional District of the North Okanagan as additional insured. The City of Vernon reserves the right to require $5 million dollars in general liability insurance, depending on the scale of the event. It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure that all vendors carry appropriate insurance.
If renting space at Greater Vernon Athletic Park (GVAP): four entities including The City of Vernon, The Regional District of North Okanagan, The District of Coldstream, and the Okanagan College must be listed as additional insured.
