The Aquatic Centre consists of two pools. There is a 25 metre, 8 lane pool for lap swimming and a separate free-form leisure pool. In addition, the facility provides a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, waterslide, one metre diving board, rope swing and lots of other fun things for the whole family.
The Recreation Centre Pool water is treated with a Chlorine/UV system that provides a clean and comfortable swimming environment. The lap pool water temperature is kept at 27 C, which is just right for laps. The leisure pool is kept at 30 C for the comfort of all ages. The hot tub is kept at 40 C. The leisure pool goes from 0.3 metres to 1.06 metres in depth. The lap pool starts at 1.2 metres and goes to a depth of 3.5 metres.

Please remember...
- Children under the age of 7 must be within arms reach of a responsible person 16 years of age or older
- Patrons must shower with soap and water before entering the pool
- Report all injuries, medical conditions or pool fouling to the lifeguards
- Patrons who are not toilet trained must use an approved swim diaper
The following is NOT allowed...
- Patrons who are obviously ill or have open sores or wounds
- Running, fighting or any activity that endangers the safety of yourself or others
- Diving in the pool, except in designated areas
- Patrons under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Yes, the viewing area is available for pool spectators!
The Aquatic Centre has the following accessibility features available for all pool users:
- Wheelchair accessible changeroom equipped with a fold-down, adult change table with lift and a hand-held shower head
- Motorized lift stored at the Front Desk and accessible by request (swimmer to provide their own sling)
- 3 Aquatic Wheelchairs
- Leisure Pool has Ramp Access
- Motorized lift for Hot Tub accessibility - transfer of swimmer required
- Hydraulic lift for Lap Pool accessibility - transfer of swimmer required
- Fitness Gym has a small elevator for upstairs accessibility
Our male and female group changerooms can also accommodate wheelchairs but have limited grab bars. The privacy stalls do not fit any wheelchairs.
