The City of Vernon is committed to making cycling easier for residents and visitors by providing an extensive network of cycling routes around the city and promoting safe and healthy travel. The City of Vernon makes cycling a high priority in its transportation plans and provides community bike initiatives and safety programs.
Guided Urban Bike Rides
Join an experienced guide and cyclists of all skill levels to explore Vernon's multi-use pathways. Learn road safety, common cycling hand signals and get to know the best bike routes in town. Sign up for these free guided rides to build confidence with urban cycling and get to know fellow community members. Participants can rent an e-bike for a discounted price or bring their own bike (both standard and e-bikes are welcome!). Register for the dates below and get a preview of what the routes look like!
Start from Kalavida Surf Shop, ride to the downtown Bike Valet and back to Kalavida.
This ride will start from the downtown Bike Valet at Cenotaph Park and ride to the Village Green Mall, before returning to the bike valet.
This ride will meet at Kalavida, ride into downtown Vernon on the 32nd St Bike Path.

Vernon Bike Valet
The Vernon Bike Valet makes it easy and stress-free to enjoy local events by providing free, secure bike parking right near the action. Cyclists can ride in, hand off their bike, and know it’s being safely looked after by attendants while they enjoy the festival or downtown activities. It’s a simple way to support active transportation, reduce traffic and parking demand, and make cycling a convenient choice for getting around Vernon.
Find the Vernon Bike Valet at Cenotaph Park (at the corner of 30th St. and 31st. Ave) Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and the Polson Park Artisan Night Market every Friday from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. - along with other activations! Opening times and hours are weather dependent, and the bike valet may be closed in times of excessive heat or smoke for the safety of the staff.
ATTENTION: the Bike Valet will be closed this week due to extreme heat (i.e., not available Thursday, July 23rd and Friday July 24th).
