Public Notices
In accordance with sections 98 and 99 of the Community Charter, The City of Vernon 2025 Annual Report is now available and will be received by Council at the June 22, 2026 Regular Council meeting, including a public input session at 1:30 pm.
In accordance with section 94 of the Community Charter, City of Vernon Council are providing notice of their consideration to adopt “Council Procedure (Meeting Schedule) Amendment Bylaw 6084, 2026” at the June 22, 2026 Regular meeting of Council.
The proposed bylaw amendments include:
- Setting the Inaugural Meeting Day to be the first Monday in November; and
- Changing Regular Council meeting days from 8:40 am on Monday to 9:00 am on Tuesday and amending all related sections necessary to reflect this change.
Upcoming Zoning Amendment Bylaws
The following proposed zoning amendment bylaws are currently under review by Council. As per Section 464 of the Local Government Act, these bylaws do not require a public hearing.
In accordance with Development Application Procedure Bylaw 4103:
- Property owners within 30 metres of the subject property will be receive written notice by mail.
- A sign will be posted on the development site before the bylaw's initial readings.
