Greater Vernon Athletics Park is a multi-sport outdoor facility that supports track and field activities, training, and community use. The park features a full track, throw and jump areas, and both synthetic and natural turf fields, providing a high-quality space for athletes, teams, and recreational users of all ages and abilities.

The Athletics Park is free for general public use, encouraging active living and informal recreation. Fees apply only to groups or individuals booking one or more amenities for exclusive use. The track is open from dawn to dusk.

FACILITY INFO

    • All events require insurance.
    • Insurance can be purchased through an insurance company of your choice OR the Facility Booking Clerk can provide a link to an insurance provider.
    • Please do not purchase insurance until a contract has been issued by a Facility Booking Clerk (Insurance policies are non-refundable).
    • A copy of the certificate of insurance must be emailed to bookings@vernon.ca, a minimum 14 days prior to the event.

    Indoor and Outdoor Events within the City of Vernon: The event organizer must provide $2 million dollars in comprehensive general liability insurance listing the City of Vernon (address listed below) as additional insured.  The City of Vernon reserves the right to require $5 million dollars in general liability insurance, depending on the scale of the event.  It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure that all vendors carry appropriate insurance.
